Necklace storage and BA update #2

Just another ordinary day at my internship, so nothing spectacular to share. But I would like to share my newest discovery. As I was browsing through Blokker (it's a Dutch store filled with random stuff from homeware to dvds) a couple of weeks ago I spotted this pretty white rack. Nothing complicated, just a sleek rectangular design. I thought it was the perfect way to store my necklaces as I don't have a lot. 

Now on the boob front. As you may or may not know, I've had a breast augmentation in September and went from an AA to a B cup. We're now four months on and it's looking absolutely great. I'm still so happy with them every day. But they're still quite firm. I hope they will soften even more within the next months, but the total recovery can take up to a year, so I still have some time to go :)

Over to what's about to change. On the end of this month I'm finishing my degree in human resources and I will be a fulltime working girl as soon as I find a job obv. So I decided, not to quit, but change the whole thing up (hence why I deleted almost all my previous posts). As we all grow older our interests change and I'm really done with the whole blogging thing. That's why there will be no more long blogposts filled with photos and text. Just one simple photo and an explanation whenever I find the time. Yes, a little bit instagramlike, but there will still be wishlists, hauls, tips, inspiration boards and such, so not everything will go on my instagram!

For those of you who decide to stay I say: "to new beginnings!"

Wishlist & Update #1: I've had my surgery!

So tiny wishlist at the moment... I wish I could look for more, but that shouldn't be very wise as I can't shop for another month.
Or even lift up my arms to try things on hah. Yes, it is that bad...

As I wrote earlier (here) I was saving for a breast augmentation. Well, tomorrow it's been a week already and let me tell you one thing, it's not fun. At. All. I've been through hell the first three days. My days existed of taking pain killers (that didn't really work btw), sitting, trying to eat, trying to sleep and sit some more. Because all you can and want to do is sit all day (and night) and try not to move a lot.

Right now I'm having a really sore bum from sitting all the time and I'm afraid that will go on for a while. I still can't sleep on my back, but at least I'm in my bed at night with a pillow or six.

I'm going back for a check up on Thursday, so I'm pretty curious what he has to say. I think it's healing well, although I wish it went faster. I'm so done with the pain and not being able to function properly. But I'm getting there, slowly... Hopefully I will feel better within four weeks and be ready to try out some bra's :D

Very personal | Why I'm saving big time!

Finally I can share with you why I haven't been shopping in over two months and still have three to go... This is a very personal thing to me and I am so happy that one of my lifelong dreams will come true very soon! I'm having a breast augmentation in September. There I said it.

 

Citytrip Cologne!

First ever Dunkin' Donuts: not a fan... - The Dom - The Rhein - Selfie of course.

On the first and second of July the boy and I drove to Cologne in Germany for two days of shopping and culture. It was only a two hour drive as I live very close to the Dutch border. So when we were settled in our hotel room we went to the town center to explore some shops.
I didn't do much shopping myself as I'm not really into summer clothing and I'm saving up for something mayor I will possibly tell you more about later if everything goes as planned. The boy however did buy some nice things. Let's say he expanded his shoe collection even more...
The second day was reserved for culture. And for that this city is also a good place to go! It's filled with amazing historic buildings and WWII memories.

• Things we've seen and that I can recommend: the Dom, the Rhein, El De Haus (former Gestapo headquarter I thought), 4711 Haus (of the famous Eau de Cologne), the Roman German museum, Belgische Viertel (Belgian Quarter)...

• A couple of the shopping streets we've walked through: Schildersgasse, Breite Strasse, Hohe Strasse, Ehren Strasse, Brüsseler Strasse, Neumarkt...

• Hotel we stayed at: Mercure hotel Köln West. It takes a 20 minute ride with the tram to the center, but it's outside the Umwelt zone (and that's what we wanted). Great hotel for a short stay and amazing breakfast!

Addiction | Magazines

I know the internet is completely taking over the media market as we know it these days. But still I enjoy holding a real life magazine in my hands.
Don't get me wrong, blogs are great (otherwise I wouldn't be here)! But on some days, I just like an old school printed blog. Because that is what a magazine is. A blog. Made by a lot of people.

My number one is Cosmopolitan. Followed by the weekly Flair and sometimes I tend to buy an Elle issue too. So excuse me whilst I'm having some me-time along with the top 500 of the nineties on the radio.
