Very personal | Why I'm saving big time!

Finally I can share with you why I haven't been shopping in over two months and still have three to go... This is a very personal thing to me and I am so happy that one of my lifelong dreams will come true very soon! I'm having a breast augmentation in September. There I said it.

 

Citytrip Cologne!

First ever Dunkin' Donuts: not a fan... - The Dom - The Rhein - Selfie of course.

On the first and second of July the boy and I drove to Cologne in Germany for two days of shopping and culture. It was only a two hour drive as I live very close to the Dutch border. So when we were settled in our hotel room we went to the town center to explore some shops.
I didn't do much shopping myself as I'm not really into summer clothing and I'm saving up for something mayor I will possibly tell you more about later if everything goes as planned. The boy however did buy some nice things. Let's say he expanded his shoe collection even more...
The second day was reserved for culture. And for that this city is also a good place to go! It's filled with amazing historic buildings and WWII memories.

• Things we've seen and that I can recommend: the Dom, the Rhein, El De Haus (former Gestapo headquarter I thought), 4711 Haus (of the famous Eau de Cologne), the Roman German museum, Belgische Viertel (Belgian Quarter)...

• A couple of the shopping streets we've walked through: Schildersgasse, Breite Strasse, Hohe Strasse, Ehren Strasse, Brüsseler Strasse, Neumarkt...

• Hotel we stayed at: Mercure hotel Köln West. It takes a 20 minute ride with the tram to the center, but it's outside the Umwelt zone (and that's what we wanted). Great hotel for a short stay and amazing breakfast!

Believe me, I did take photo's with my proper camera, but neither one of them turned out great. So I turned to the snapshot I took earlier with my phone. So I'm sorry for the not so great quality :)

Anyway, today I didn't have to work for a change so my mother and I decided to go out to visit some shops and ate a very yummy ice cream! Oh and I tried out side parting with my hair and I'm quite enjoying it :D

Well, remember me hah? :D I'm having a bit of a busy time at the moment, that explains the lack of blogposts. I don't know when I will be back on track, but in the meantime I will try to update whenever I can.

For now I have a lovely product to show you! Catrice dropped some new products in store a couple of months ago and one of those things was a primer. I never tried a primer before, but I was experiencing some not so nice streaky foundation moments because of my bad skin (never happened before though!) so I thought a primer might be the answer.

So I hopped into the local drugstore and grab it, as they were selling fast back then. And I must say, I do see a difference when I use this. Not that my skin looks more even or so, but definately no more streaks of foundation. So big yay!

The other thing I was worried about was that it might make my skin go greasy, but it luckily didn't, at all. Double yay! 

I can honestly say that this product is a complete winner for me. I now use it on a daily base and will immediately repurchase it when I run out :)
